Rebel dream comes true

It didn’t take Winona’s An’Darius Coffey long to make up his mind about where he wanted to play college football.

Coffey went to Ole Miss’ football camp this two weeks ago and the Rebels offered him a scholarship on June 2. Coffey then visited the school with his mother last Wednesday and made his commitment official later that day.

Every two years, North Central Planning and Development District’s Agency on Aging holds an Over 60 Celebration, catering to senior citizens in Carroll, Attala, Grenada, Leflore, Holmes, and Yalobusha – the seven counties that North Central cover.





Final Salute

Winona Mayor Jerry Flowers, members of the Winona Fire Department, the Winona Police Department, and the Mississippi Highway Patrol saluted Senator Thad Cochran’s funeral procession as it traveled south on Interstate 55 Monday morning to the Mississippi State Capitol.
