Carroll County is slowly beginning to see some recovery money roll in from the flooding that happened in February 2019. Emergency Management and Civil Defense Director Ken Strachan said the county has seen some FEMA recovery money roll in.

KILMICHAEL – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department apprehended a man Sunday night who is wanted in Tennessee for first degree murder and attempted murder.
According to Montgomery County Sheriff Jeff Tompkins, Marcus Holman, 32, was arrested at a residence in Kilmichael just before 6 p.m. tonight.
There will be a runoff election in Duck Hill between Shernell Brown-Everett and Tommy Earl White. City Clerk Lasonja Sizemore said affidavits were still being counted this morning and the official totals had not been given as of yet.

Yesterday’s news of a lawsuit being been filed on behalf of 29 inmates at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman alleging the living conditions there are “unconstitutional and inhumane,” actually surprised me. Not at the lawsuit, mind you, but how long it took someone to file one.
