A dam breach at a watershed lake in Carroll County is under control, with water no longer spilling out of a break approximately seven feet from the top of the 25-foot dam.

J.Z. George High School announces its homecoming court. The Jaguars will take on Holly Springs 7 p.m. Friday. The homecoming court will be presented at 6 p.m. and the homecoming parade will take place at 11 a.m. in North Carrollton.

In a tight district game, it was Winona Christian that came away with a one-run win over rival Carroll Academy on Tuesday.

Winona Christian was scheduled to play at Marshall on Monday in their only action of the week. They will return to action after Labor Day and host Marshall on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
