Neal honored for service

Bro. Wilton Neal was recently honored with a reception at North Carrollton Baptist Church recognizing 45 years of service as music director. He retired from being the music director the first of January. He was presented a plaque in honor of his service to the church by Rev. Keith Ramage, pastor of the church.


Friends now holding book sale at library

Friends of the Winona-Montgomery County Library currently have a used book sale table set up in the foyer of the library.  The table includes discarded books and books that have been donated to the Friends of the Library organization.  Prices range from $.25 to $2.  All proceeds from the sale will benefit Winona-Montgomery County Friends of the







Lady Rebels defeat Oak Hill

Like most area basketball teams, the weather was the big winner last week.
But the Lady Rebels of Carroll Academy did manage to squeeze in a victory as they beat Oak Hill 58-49 while the Rebels dropped a 54-35 decision to the Raiders Last Friday’s game at Kirk was cancelled and will not be made up.
