Local 4Hers represent county at Dixie National Livestock Show

Montgomery County 4H had a stellar showing at this year’s Dixie National Rodeo.

According to Montgomery County Extension Agent Amy Ware, more than $50,000 came back to Montgomery County in Sale of Champions money and scholarships.  Also a Kilmichael 4Her came home with the top prize for lambs.







Man facing drug charge

WINONA – A traffic stop led to a Winona man being arrested for felony drug charges last week.

According to Winona Police Captain Dan Herod, chief investigator for the Winona Police Department, Michael Anthony Forrest, 43, of Winona was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.
