WINONA – A group of interested professions met in an effort to resurrect the Winona Business and Professional Association at the Winona Community House on Sterling Avenue. The group adopted proposed bylaws for the organization as well as discussed possible spring events in the City of Winona.
Thursday, Superintendent of Education Jim Ray attended his first board meeting with the Carroll County School Board to a room that was standing room only. After the meeting, Ray was welcomed to the district with a reception.

WINONA – The Winona-Montgomery Consolidated School Board of Trustees voted last week to make a change in the leadership at Winona Secondary School. Donna Bishop, former assistant principal, was promoted to interim principal of the school, and Michael Guttuso, former principal, will assume the role of assistant principal.
Roland Mitchell Dampeer, 28, will appear in federal court Thursday to face charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence in the Thursday afternoon shooting of rural postal carrier Sherry Ingold as she delivered mail on her route along Highway 35 in Hesterville.
