Perscribed Burning Course
The Northwest Mississippi Extension Forestry will be a prescribed burning course for forestry and wildlife short course that is being held at the Attala County Extension Service on May 17. Deadline to register for the course is May 10. Registration is $30 per person and $45 per couple. The fee covers refreshments, lunch and postage.
French Camp’s Frontier Day
Frontier Day will be held this Saturday, May 18, in historic French Camp. Frontier Day is an annual family-oriented event showcasing the historic village in French Camp. Admission and parking are both free. Come out for a fun time this weekend! The event starts at 8 am. Bluegrass begins at 9 am. Fun events for the entire family!
Boating Safety Course
MS Department of Wildlife Fisheries & Parks will hold a boating safety course at the Montgomery County Extension office on Saturday, May 18, 2019 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Call MDWFP at 662-563-6222 to register.
Wild Horse Ministries will have its presentation “Count Me In, I’m Riding for the Lord” at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 19 at Covered K Arena, 2433 Highway 82, Maben. The presenter will be Paul Daily. Daily will take an untrained horse and show those in attendance step by step how to train the horse to become ridable, in the process break down the relationship between God and man and a horse’s relationship with its trainer.
Shiloh Church, east of Duck Hill, will have a memorial service Sunday, May 19 at 10:30 a.m. Speaker will be Bro. Mark Lawson. Lunch will be served following service.
