STARKVILLE – Tuesday night, friends and family of Ana Blakely Davis gathered at Cullis Wade Depot Gallery on the campus of Mississippi State for the opening of her Senior Theseus Exhibition currently on display. The exhibition will go through November 24, and her prints are available for sale.

WINONA – Several defendants recently indicted by a Montgomery County Grand Jury came before Circuit Judge Joseph Loper, Jr. for arraignments Tuesday morning. The fall term of Montgomery County Circuit Court will begin on October 7.
A Winona teen was indicted by a Montgomery County Grand Jury for first degree murder, and his brother was indicted on accessory after the fact in connection with the July 5, 2018, shooting death of a 16-year-old boy.
The Winona-Montgomery Consolidated School District accepted a bid of $40,000 for the purchase of the former Montgomery County Elementary School building on School Road in Kilmichael. The building was purchased by God’s House of Hope of Nettleton.
