The United States Supreme Court ruled Friday to overturn a conviction against Curtis Flowers, a man accused of killing four people inside of Tardy Funiture Store in 1996. In a 7-2 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that District Attorney Doug Evans prevented African Americans from serving on the jury.
A Missouri man is dead following a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 55 Wednesday morning.
According to Sgt. Ronald Shive, of the Public Affairs Division of the Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop D, troopers responded to the accident around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Loretha Alashay Brown of Grenada, who is facing multiple misdemeanor and felony charges, appeared before Winona Judge Alan D. Lancaster last Thursday in Winona City Court.
Brown was charged felony stalking and felony malicious mischief in connection to incidents that occurred on Wednesday, December 19 and Thursday, December 20.
