WINONA – Today is the official start of the holiday season in Montgomery County. The annual Christmas Open House for Winona retailers begins today with deep discounts, festive refreshments, and loads of Christmas cheer.
WINONA -- Continuing the celebration of Winona Astronaut Donald Peterson, who was honored last month, Winona’s annual Christmas Parade will be “out of this world.”

WINONA – The Board of Aldermen awarded the bid for the city’s $1.2 million bond bill to Trustmark Bank. Trustmark submitted the lowest net interest rate of the three bids at 2.695269 percent.
The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors approved to spend a one-time fee of $2,400 for the installation of fire detectors in the Montgomery County Courthouse.
In addition, they will pay a monthly fee of $29.95 per month for off-site monitoring of the detectors.
