WINONA -- Funeral servces for Mrs. Callie Frances Shelton Westoby of Winona were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, at North Winona Baptist Church in Winona, with burial following in New Salem Cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. Terry Corley officiated the services. Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
A visitation was held on Thursday, June 24, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Westoby died of heart failure at Washington Care Center in Greenville on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. She was 95 years old.
Mrs. Westoby was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Mattie McDonald Shelton, and the widow of the late Warren Joseph Westoby. She was a retired nurse's aide with Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona and a member of North Winona Baptist Church, where she was very active in the WMU.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat DeAngelo of Greenville and Frances Alexander of Yazoo City; one son, Bobby Westoby of Winona; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lawrence Braswell, Danny Fielder, Jerry Blakely, Brian Westoby, Joey Westoby, and Joe Paul DeAngelo.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Winona Baptist Church, 602 Alberta Drive, Winona, MS 38967.
