Funeral Services for Billy Deen Jones, Jr. were held Tuesday August 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at North Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood.
Billy Deen Jones, Jr., age 64, died on Saturday August 9, 2014. He was born on September 22, 1949 to Billy and Doty (Neal) Jones, Sr. in Vicksburg and resided in Greenwood since 1984. He was the owner of Jones Transportation Services in Greenwood, and a veteran of the US Marine Corp. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and attended North Greenwood Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Greenwood Elks Lodge #854, and Single Buck Hunting Club. He was preceded in death by his father Billy Deen Jones, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Pat Jones of Greenwood; his mother, Doty Jones of Greenwood; two daughters, Lori Peden and her husband Lee of Bruce and Amy Tackett of Greenwood; two sisters, Debbie Holt of Jackson and Terry Vandevere and her husband Robert of Yazoo City; three grandchildren, Blake Peden, Broc Peden, and Jenabeth Peden; two nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, and on Tuesday August 12, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at North Greenwood Baptist Church. Dr. Jim Phillips and Dr. Billy Ray Stonestreet officiated. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pallbearers were Blake Peden, Broc Peden, Lou Holt, Kyle Whitehead, John Malouf, Danny Smith, Rhyne Howard, and William Leflore. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Greenwood Elks Lodge # 854, and members of Single Buck Hunting Club.

Jerry M. Crouch, Jr.
Jerry M. Crouch, Jr., 73, passed from this life Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center in Jackson.
Jerry was born Saturday, August 31, 1940 in Winona, a son of the late Jerry M. Crouch, Sr. and Marie Crouch Orr. He was a life-long carpenter and worked for several years in construction. Jerry served our country in both the U.S. Army and Navy, 1965-1973.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Megan Crouch.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Linda Crouch; son, Jerry M. “Tre” Crouch, III; daughters, Natasha Taylor and Trena Crouch Street and husband Michael; grandchildren, Regan Wallice, Mackenzie Brewer, Mayson Street, Marleigh Street and Taelyn Street; brother, Tommy Crouch and wife Debbie; and sister, Shirley Compton.
Memorial services were held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
