The Carroll Academy Lady Rebels remained hot throughout the first two weeks of the season, but ran into a tough North Delta team in the Bayou tournament.

The Lady Rebels got their first loss of the season in a 9-0 decision to the Lady Green Wave.

Carpenter (4-1) took the loss pitching 2/3 innings giving up seven runs on three hits, 2 walks, and a hit batter. Hope Clanton pitched 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks. Carpenter singled to lead off the game, and then Megan Shelton walked, followed by a walk by Sydney Liddell.

With only one out, the Lady Rebels were unable to capitalize as Carpenter doubled off third on a line drive by Avery Thornton. North Delta scored nine in the bottom of the first on six hits, four walks, a hit batter, and a throwing error. In game two, the Lady Rebels defeated Union Christian 6-1. Sandy Tackett (1-0) gave up one run on five hits and one walk in three innings. Carpenter, Cori McCrary, Thornton, Madison Womble, Clanton, and Tackett all had hits for Carroll.

The remaining games in the tournament were rained out. Carroll (9-1) played Tuesday night against Sharkey-Issaquena in Carrollton.
