Two Montgomery County juniors made a huge splash at a basketball camp held at Holmes Community College. At an annual basketball camp held at HCC, Akkevious Robinson and Dontavian Sutton, two juniors from Montgomery County High School walked away with two of the biggest honors out of nearly 100 competing players.

Out of 87 players, Robinson won the Most Valuable Player Award, and Sutton won the Best Offensive Player Award.

“This is pretty good coming from two really good players,” Hornets head coach Frank Miller said. “We’re depending on these guys next year and looking forward to their leadership on and off the court. They’ll play a big role for us.”

The four-day camp consisted of players from Jackson, Durant, McAdams, Williams-Sullivan and J.J. McClain.

Sutton is the son of Ruthie Gee, and Robinson is the son of Darah and Wynette Robinson.
