Funeral services for Christopher Gillespie Bryan of Carrollton were at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, in the Lee Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Rev. Dustin Long officiated the services.

Visitation was Thursday, June 12, from 9:00 a.m. until service time, at Lee Funeral Home.

Mr. Bryan, 94, died at his residence on Monday, June 9. He was born in Carrollton on December 23, 1919, to Henry Percy and Mable Gillespie Bryan. He attended Sunflower Junior College (now Mississippi Delta Community College) and Mississippi State University. Mr. Bryan served as a pilot and instructor in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a farmer and retired from the Soil Conservation Service. He was a member of Carrollton United Methodist Church and an honorary member of the Carrollton Masonic Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joy Elizabeth Bryan; and his brother, Henry Percy Bryan Jr.

Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife of 70 years, Norris Williams Bryan.

Pallbearers were Stewart Mitchell, Bubba Irwin, Johnny Summerville, Buster Mullins, Terry Herbert, Brooks Irwin, and Tom Roberson. Honorary pallbearers were Mack Bennett and Pete Moore.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carrollton United Methodist Church or to French Camp Academy.
