VAIDEN, MS -- GMC(SW) James “Jim” Patrick Morrison, Sr., US Navy Ret., 63, died Friday May 23, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation was Wednesday May 28, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

Jim was born in California and raised in Missouri. He joined the US Navy in 1969, served in the Vietnam War and Desert Storm and retired in 1996 after 24 years of devoted service to our country. After retirement he moved to Carrollton where he had been a Carroll County resident since and was currently residing in Vaiden. He was a member of the American Legion and the American Legion riders. He loved to hunt and fish. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ray Morrison.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Felts Morrison; two sons, James P. Morrison, Jr. of Port Orchard, Wash. and Jason William Morrison of Carrollton; a daughter, Breanna Jane Mooshegian of Washington, D.C. and 7 grandchildren.
