Funeral services for Thomas Ray Hathcock, 74, of Winona were at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, at Scotland Baptist Church near Winona, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Paul Trosper, Rev. John L. Walker, Rev. Jerry Moore, and Dr. Tom Dulin officiated the services.
Visitation was at the church on Monday, from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
Mr. Hathcock died of respiratory failure at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis on Thursday, May 15. He was born in Montgomery County on March 23, 1940, to James Ervin Hathcock and Mattie Mae Fullilove Hathcock. He was a retired firefighter and employee of the City of Winona, as well as a carpenter. He was a member of Scotland Baptist Church. Mr. Hathcock was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Neblett Hathcock.
Survivors include his sons, Chuck Hathcock and wife, Kim, of Oakland and Terry Hathcock of Grenada; one brother, Roy Hathcock of Winona; three grandchildren, Courtlyn, Ashlee, and Zach Hathcock; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Hayden Phillips, Harold Waller, Randy Poss, Benny Champion, Ken Chandler, and Eugene Hathcock.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
