Visitation was Monday, May 19, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parkerson, 91, died of heart failure at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora on Saturday, May 17. She was born in Winona on December 26, 1922, to the late Englis and Nannie Black Brister. She was a retired teacher, a homemaker and a member of Huntsville Presbyterian Church near French Camp. She was instrumental in the creation of the French Camp Water Association and served as its bookkeeper for 32 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Audrey Parkerson; sister, Vallie Pearl Biggers; brother, Leon Brister; and a nephew, Michael Brister.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn Parkerson of French Camp and Terry Parkerson (Gaitha) of French Camp; brother, Lloyd Brister of Winona; granddaughter, Lyn Green (Rex) of Boyle; grandson, Brandon Parkerson of French Camp; great-grandson, Tyler Green of Boyle; good friend and caregiver, Corrine Butts of Kilmichael; one niece; and six nephews.
Pallbearers are Tony Thomas, Paul D. Hopkins, Paul Black, Larry Bright, Jerry Crowder, and Wade McGlothin. Honorary pallbearers are Aubry Dendy and Hugh Dendy.
