Great run for Tigers at state meet

PEARL -- The Winona High School boys and girls track team had a good showing at the 3A state meet at Pearl on Monday.

The boys finished 13th overall with 13 overall points, and the girls finished 19th with nine overall points.

Sophomore Kwaniesha Wade had a third place finish in the 300 hurdles, and Tyana Payne, a freshman finished fourth in the 3200 meters.

D.C. Olton had a fourth place finish in the triple jump and placed sixth in the long jump. The 4x400 relay team of Jaquail Davis, Tommy Burt, Kailah James and Kentrell James finished seventh. Senior Kameron Crawford had a sixth place finish in the pole vault.
