Funeral services for Marvis Milton Crowder of French Camp were at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, at Huntsville Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, with burial following in French Camp Cemetery in French Camp. Rev. Brad Herod and Rev. Doug Atkinson officiated the services.

Visitation was Monday, April 21, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home; and on Wednesday, from 1:00 pm until service time, at the church.

Mr. Crowder died of heart failure at Pioneer Community Hospital in Ackerman on Saturday, April 19. He was 98 years old.

Mr. Crowder was a retired farmer and a member of Huntsville Presbyterian Church. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erline Henderson Crowder; grandson, Jeffrey Crowder; parents, George Wiley and Maude White Crowder; and sisters, Alma Crowder McClain, Claudia Crowder Castle, and Ilda Crowder Bronze.

Survivors include his son, Jerry Crowder and wife, Jeanine, of French Camp; grandchildren, Jennifer Box of French Camp, Jason Crowder of French Camp; and one niece, Rosemary Douglass Guess of Madison.

Pallbearers were Benny Steed, Rusty Riddell, Ozell Herod, Johnson Stevens, and Okley Tharp.

Oliver Funeral Home of Winona (www.ofhwinona.com) handled arrangements.
