MCCARLEY - Ronald G. Davis, age 57, died Friday March 21, 2014 at his residence from cancer.
He was born in Aberdeen November 22, 1956 to the late Howard and Hattie Mae Bostic Davis and spent most of his life in Jackson where he attended the School for the Blind.
He resided in Pittsburgh, Pa. for 10 years and attended the Church of Christ there. He also attended McCarley Baptist Church and was a member of the Jaycees Civic Club in Jackson for 10 years. He worked as a security officer for Victor Security.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kichelle Busby.
Visitation was 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 24 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Monday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with Reverend Rupert Ingram officiating.
Pallbearers were James Miller, John Busby, James Busby, Cullen Jenkins, Aubrey Johnston and Edward Busby. Burial was in McCarley Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Peggy Busby Davis of McCarley; two sons, Armon Busby of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Moe Busby of Leretto, Ky.; two daughters, Angela Busby of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Robin Davis of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three brothers, Randy Davis, Dennis Davis and Ricky Davis all of Jackson; one sister, Sandra Jo Langham of Vaiden; and 8 grandchildren.
