NORTH CARROLLTON -- The J.Z. George Lady Jaguars would like to keep winning to make a run for the North 2A tournament, but first they have to make a move out of the 4-2A tournament at Leland.

The Lady Jags got that first win in the first round of the district tournament, a 31-27 win over South Delta Tuesday night.

Martisha Brewer and Shadesha Harris each scored 12 points in the contest.

The Lady Jags (14-12) took a 10-6 lead after the first quarter and went into the half knotted at 15 with South Delta.

The Lady Jags will take on top seeded Riverside tomorrow at 4 p.m.

The Jaguars saw their season come to a close at the hands of West Bolivar 49-40. Devonte Ward lead the Jags with 11 points and Jamarcos Williams finished with 10 points.
