KILMICHAEL -- The Montgomery County Hornets are finishing strong and according to head coach Frank Miller, need momentum heading into the 6-1A tournament on their court.

"We've played really well the last two games," Miller said. "We're sharing the ball and we've beaten two teams who beat us earlier."

The Hornets beat Durant Tuesday night 68-53, with 21 points from Desmond Turner. Carlos Joliff scored 13, with Dontavious Sutton pouring in 13 as well. Jason Henson and Demerius Womack combined for 20 points. Womack pulled down a game high 11 rebounds.

In a Saturday rematch against French Camp, the Hornets got a 66-56 win, with Desmond Turner pouring in 20 points and seven steals. Womack had a monster game with 19 points and 16 off the glass. Henson scored 17 points.

The Hornets improve to 14-9 and are 5-4 in district play. The Hornets end this season Tuesday against Ethel.
