The Winona Tigers were hit by two district rivals and will look to rebound at Aberdeen Friday night.

The Lady Tigers dropped to 11-12 after falling to Louisville Tuesday night in Winona. The Lady Tigers got high scores from Princess Clark and C.C. Rice.

For the Tigers, the boys fell to Nettleton 64-31 on the road Friday, and 56-48 against Louisville Tuesday in Winona.

After rising into the 3A ranks for much of the month, head coach Evinn Beck said the Tigers were disappointed with the two losses. The Tigers fall to 18-5, but Beck said it's a wakeup call for his team.

"They'll be ok," Beck said. "We need to get better on the defensive side of the ball and play smarter."

Beck said the Tigers need to play with more toughness.

The Tigers only dropped one spot in the 3A rankings, just underneath Velma Jackson, North Panola, and Cleveland East Side.
