Stars at 21 wins on the season

WINONA -- The Winona Christian Stars have eclipsed the 20-win mark once again after knocking off Manchester Monday night.

Coach Durward Stanton feels that the offensive execution of the Stars will be the key for the this season's success and said experience counts as well.

"They have played together for a long time," Stanton said. "They approach every game expecting to win."

The Stars knocked off Manchester 54-43 to improve to 21-7 on the season. Winona Christian will close out the regular season at Starkville Christian.

Bailey Lott led the way for the Stars with 23 points, and Luke Pittman contributed with 14 points. Lane Boyette also had double figures with ten points.

The Lady Stars improve to 24-11 after knocking off Manchester 55-28. Mary Kendall Ware led the way for the Lady Stars with 16 points.

The 1-AA tournament is set to start Tuesday at Bayou Academy.
