Sarah Woods Robinson, age 78, of Grenada, died Friday, January 24, 2014, at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Grenada Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Sarah was born on October 16, 1935 in Montgomery County, Mississippi to the late Claude and Edna Wiggins Woods. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Grenada where she taught the Children's Class and the Ladies' Bible Class. Sarah was employed as a Teacher's Assistant with the Grenada School District. She was also a member of the Friends of First Street Gallery; a member of the Friends of Elizabeth Jones Library; a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4488; a Charter Member of the Westside Homemaker Club; Charter Member of the NMRC Friends for Handicapped - Oxford; a Charter Member of the State We Care for Handicapped; and a member of Mississippi P&A Board.

Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Agnes Johnson and Mary Francis Woods; and six brothers, L. Q. Woods, Bobby Nelson Woods, Claude (Monk) Woods, Jr., Benjamin Woods, Henry Woods and Arthur Lee Woods.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Eugene "Gene" Robinson, Sr. of Grenada; three daughters, Delia R. Owens of Madison, Catherine R. Jobe of Vicksburg, and Charlene R. Wooten of Hernando; two sons, Bobby E. Robinson, Jr. of Grenada, and Brett Woods Robinson of Laurel; two sisters, Rose Grantham of Grenada and Patricia Cummins of Elliott; three brothers, Thomas "Pete" Woods of Duck Hill, James Edward Woods of Elliott, and M.C. Woods of Grenada; eight grandchildren, Nikki Jobe and Blake Jobe of Vicksburg, Ashlea Wooten and Kasey Wooten of Hernando, Alexander Owens and Benjamin Owens of Madison, and Lucy Robinson and Mary Brett Robinson of Laurel; and a host of nieces and nephews.
