Carroll Academy senior quarterback Jake Streater has been selected to play against some of the state's best football players tomorrow night at Mississippi College.

Streater will play in the Mississippi Association of Independent School's all-star game at Robinson-Hale Stadium in Clinton tomorrow.

Streater played quarterback and some running back on offense this past season for the Rebels, who finished with a 4-7 overall record after losing to Riverdale (La.) Academy in the first round of the Class A playoffs.

Streater was also named the Most Valuable Player on offense for District 2A, and was named to the all-conference team as the quarterback. He ended the year with over 1,000 total yards to lead the Rebel offense.

Other Carroll players named to the all-conference team on offense include senior lineman Sean Sheppard, and senior receivers Tyler Henson and Austin Brewer.

Receiving honorable mention status on offense are junior lineman Austin Jennings, sophomore lineman Bailey Howard, senior receiver Reed Fox and sophomore running back Jake Liddell.

Four Rebels were selected to the all-conference team on defense. Leading the quartet is senior linebacker Hunter McCorkle.

Joining McCorkle on the first unit are senior linebacker Jordan Bell, and senior defensive ends Tristan Tackett and Clark Sanders.

Honorable mention on defense goes to junior linebacker Dustin McGehee and junior defensive back Tristan Wiggins.
