Lady Rebs at 12 wins so far

MEMPHIS -- The Carroll Academy Lady Rebels continue to play well at the start of the season with wins over Winona Christian in Memphis and over Deer Creek.

The Lady Rebels knocked off the Lady Stars at Memphis' Fed Ex Forum last week 49-22. The Lady Rebels got 12 points from Cori McCrary and 11 from Sarah Mumme. Sidney Claire Liddell chipped in with eight points.

For the Lady Stars, Mary Kendall Ware had a team high six points.

The Lady Rebels (12-5) got 18 points from Mumme in their 58-44 win over Deer Creek Monday in Carrollton. Carroll jumped out to a 20-2 lead after the first frame, but Deer Creek made it interesting by outscoring CA 20-3 in the second to only trail 23-22 at the half.

Carroll, which also got nine points from Madison Womble, took a 41-31 lead after the third period.

Bailey Marett scored eight points for CA. The Rebels got their second win of the season as they claimed a 63-47 win over the Warriors to move to 2-6. Timmy Mumme led the way with 18 points.

Clayton Harper tacked on 14 points, and Tyler Henson and Peyton Neal had 11 each for the Rebels.
