Lady Stars rebound

After falling hard to Carroll Academy in Memphis, the Winona Christian Lady Stars have rebounded strongly this week.

After the 49-22 loss to Carroll the Lady Stars came back home Monday to knock off Humphreys Academy and Immanuel Christian on the road Tuesday.

In Tuesday's game in Columbus, the Lady Stars knocked off Immanuel 44-16. Winona Christian only allowed nine points in second half as they took a 38-7 lead to halftime.

Megan Macko had a game high 12 points, and Sara Taylor Goss finished with 10 points.

On Monday, the Lady Stars hosted the Humphreys Academy Lady Rebels and defeated them 60-29.

Macko was the leading scorer in that game with 17 points. Mary Kendall Ware and Goss both finished with 13 points.

Winona Christian takes on Starkville Christian today at home.
