Daisy Quiller Bakeman, 78, of Eupora passed away on Saturday October 26, 2013 at NMMC Long Term Care in Eupora. Mrs. Bakeman was born on April 7, 1935 in Coffee Springs, Ala. to the late Cletus E. and Lossie Phillips Quiller. She worked as a Nurses Aid most of her working life. She was a member of Blessed Assurant Temple Church is Barton, Fla.
Services for Mrs. Bakeman were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday October 30, 2013 at Kilmichael Baptist Church in KIlmichael with Bro. Terry Wills and Bro. Gary Jackson officiating. Burial followed in Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 29, 2013 at Wise Funeral Home in Eupora. Pallbearers were Glen Denley, Brad Denley, William Denley, Timmothy Denley, Dakota Coker, Devon Coker, Josh Beam, Timmothy Lowery, Jonathan Lowery. Honorary pallbearers were Korey Simmons and Brandon Simmons.
Mrs. Bakeman is survived by two sons: Billy Joe Simmons of Fruitland, Fla. and Doug Simmons of Alberville, Ala.; four daughters: Kathy Denley of Eupora, Sally Woods of Kilmichael, Anna Coker of Cartersville, Ga., and April Gibson of Kilmichael; two sisters Marie Starling of Bartow, Fla. and Shirley Holton of Midville, Ga.; and one brother Herbert Quiller of Lake Wales, Fla.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bakeman was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Loretta Lynn Lowery; brothers, Rufus Quiller and Samuel Quiller; sisters, Ruby Quiller Parrish Blair, Gussie Quiller Ellenburg, and Louise Quiller Baine; and granddaughter, Haileigh Bakeman.
Wise Funeral Home of Eupora are in charge of arrangements.
