The table is set for a Tuesday special election as two vie for the vacant Beat Two seat on the Carroll County School Board.

Both Dollinda Neal Malone and Donnie Wiltshire will appear on the November 5 ballot for the Beat Two School Board seat's unexpired term.

According to Circuit Clerk Durward Stanton, the two precincts in Beat Two will be open. The Carrollton Precinct at the Carroll County Extension Service and the Ray's Shop precinct will be open for the election from 7 a.m to 7 p.m.

There are approximately 1,500 registered voters in Carroll County's Beat Two.

Malone, who made a run for the same seat in 2011, will take on Wiltshire, a former coach in the school district.

The school board seat has been vacated twice in three years. Former trustee Marcus Kuykendall resigned from the seat in 2011. After winning the seat later that year, Jim Strong took the seat, only to resign in October 2012.
