A district win is needed for the Tigers to have a chance at the postseason this year.
Coming off a 35-0 loss to a Louisville team that will likely play for the 3A state championship, the Tigers face Nettleton Friday night for homecoming.
Last Friday, the Tigers allowed 21 points in the first quarter, and Louisville managed to go up 28-0 at the half. Louisville tacked on another score in the third quarter.
The Tigers got 13 tackles from Tommie Burt, who was the team's defensive player of the week.
At 1-6 the Tigers will look to get their first 4-3A win over a Nettleton team that is also looking for their first district win, after falling to Aberdeen last week.
Chandler said with only one win on the books, the Tigers aren't yet sunk when it comes to the playoffs.
"We're not out of it by the least," Chandler said. "This would be a good win for us, and it would help out a lot."
Chandler said this week's practices have been intense, and he feels the Tigers match up well against Nettleton.
