Stars defeat Manchester, look toward Lee Academy

WINONA -- The Winona Christian Stars impressed the homecoming crowd last week with a 20-7 win over Manchester Academy.

The Stars will host Lee Academy tomorrow at home in a division contest.

At 4-1 on the season the Stars will look to improve to 2-1 in 1-AA play on the season.

Currently the Stars are third in division play behind leader Indianola and North Delta, who is 3-1 in district play.

the Stars got scores from Brooks Lott and Aaron Gatlin. Lott scored on a 27-yard touchdown. Lott finished the game with 74 yards rushing, and Gatlin finished the game with 66 yards rushing.

Defensively, Bailey Lott finished with nine tackles and Gatlin with eight. Stuart Dickerson and Devin Roberts finished with seven tackles apiece.

Kickoff for tomorrow’s game against Lee Academy will be at 7 p.m.
