GREENWOOD - James Aubrey Law, age 74, died Monday June 23, 2014 at his residence in Greenwood.
He was born in Clarksdale May 20, 1940 to the late James Oren and Grace (Brown) Law. He was a graduate of Clarksdale High School, Ms Delta Community College and Delta State University. Served for four years in the US Navy in Vietnam as a radar specialist and was a Baptist. He owned 'The Music Store' in Greenwood for 33 years and was preceded in death by a son, James Gawain Law and a brother, Billy Law.
Visitation was 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with Reverend Mitchell Long officiating.
Pallbearers were Wesley Law, John Dukes, Cory Parker, Tommy Dukes, Jake Rose and Jason Glenn. Honorary pallbearers were Randy French and Luther French. Burial was in Odd Fellows East Cemetery in Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn Glenn Law of Greenwood; one son, Noal Law of Greenwood; two brothers, Wayne Law of Lake Village, Ar. and Harvey Law of Orange, Ca.; one sister, Barbara Poe Smart of Avalon; four grandchildren, Wesley Law, Carley Law, Clay Law and Carson Law and a number of nieces and nephews.
Military rites were performed by the American Legion Post #29 of Greenwood. Williams and Lord Funeral Home is in charge, and an online guestbook may be signed at williamsandlord.com.
