The Tigers (12-3) will head to the home of the Hornets, at Montgomery County today for their annual tournament. But starting the year, the Tigers are rolling with wins over Philadelphia, last week and at East Webster on Tuesday.
"This is a pretty good record for a very young team," head coach Evinn Beck said.
The Tigers knocked off Philadelphia 60-57 at Winona's Crossroads Classic Tournament and defeated the Wolverines at their place 58-56. According to Beck his team is really getting after it on both sides of the court.
"They're playing really hard," Beck said. "I enjoy seeing them play."
Against Philadelphia, D.C. Olton scored 24 points and pulled down eight rebounds, while Josh Everette poured in 18 points.
In the East Webster game, Olton scored 19, and Everette scored 17 points.
The Tigers will be one of four teams at the annual tournament at Kilmichael today. Action starts at 4 p.m. today and tomorrow, with games beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
