The Eagles, after one quarter of play, jumped out to a 28-0 lead and set the stage for the Tigers first 0-3 start, after eventually falling 49-14.
The Tigers will now set their sights on J.Z. George, who is 1-1 on the season, in North Carrollton on Friday night.
Eupora jumped out fast in last week's contest in Winona, as an Eagles' wideout scored with 9:30 on the clock putting Winona down 7-0. Eupora struck again in the first as their running back, Lemonte Salley, scored on a 68-yard scamper to put the Eagles up 14-0 in the opening quarter. Salley struck again to put the Eagles up 28-0 in the second quarter.
Sophomore Zack Carter scored with 2:44 in the second quarter to put the Tigers on the board, but the Tigers were behind 28-7 at the half.
After halftime, Eupora came out and scored again with 6:38 remaining in the third. With a minute on the clock, the Tigers fought back, and sophomore Teon Thomas scored from 11 yards out, as the Tigers then trailed 35-14, after a Reed Rushing extra point.
The Eagles would pull away at the start of the fourth with another score, putting them ahead 42-14, ive minutes later adding to their lead at 49-14.
The Tigers had 216 total rushing yards against Eupora and were led by Zack Carter with ten tackles on the defense. A.J. Ables had nine tackles, and Maurice Rivers added five stops.
The Tigers will travel to J.Z. George Friday to take on a Jaguars team that shut out the Montgomery County Hornets 32-0 last week.
