WINONA - A Montgomery County Grand Jury handed down an indictment against a Stewart man in connection with a traffic fatality last summer.

Joe Taylor, Jr. has been indicted for aggravated driving under the influence.

According to a spokesman for Troop D of the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol at the time of the accident, on Thursday, June 20, at around 9:45 p.m., Margaret Davis, 47, was killed in a two-car crash on Highway 82 between Kilmichael and Stewart.

Davis was the passenger in a 2001 Isuzu which was traveling eastbound on Highway 82. According to the Highway Safety Patrol, Taylor, who was driving a 1987 GMC Jimmy, collided with the Isuzu, which caused it to leave the highway into the median. After returning to the highway and colliding with Taylor's vehicle a second time, the Isuzu overturned, and Davis was ejected from the vehicle.
