The Carroll Academy Lady Rebels continue to fight to get to 20 wins on the season, but efforts were halted Tuesday night in Carrollton.

The Lady Rebels fell to Leake Academy 72-44 Tuesday night but will attempt to get back to their winning way today at Benton, which is a district matchup. The Lady Rebels sit at 18-10 and came off a 56-20 win over Lee, Ark. Both the Lady Rebels and Rebels will return home Friday against Tri-County.

In that game the Lady Rebels jumped out to a 21-9 lead after the first period and made it 37-13 at the half. The Lady Rebels led 50-18 after the third period.

Sarah Mumme led the way with 18 points. Madison Womble had nine, and Sydney Claire Liddell tacked on eight.

The Rebels came out fighting and trailed after one quarter, 22-18. Clayton Harper chipped in with 11 points, and Timmy Mumme had 10 points.

Rebels will look to get a district win today at Benton before retuning home Friday against Tri-County.

The Tuesday loss snapped a winning streak after knocking off Lee 57-28 at the Kirk tournament last week. In that game, Neal had 13, while Mumme and Harper had 10 each.
