Kilmichael's T and T Auto Parts was burglarized last Thursday morning, and an extensive investigation is underway by local law enforcement.

According to Matt Bennett, investigator with the Kilmichael Police Department, T and T Auto on Rutherford Drive was hit by burglars, and this burglary may possibly be connected to the burglary that hit North Carrollton's Anderson Pharmacy 20 miles west on Highway 82.

"Apparently the break-ins are widespread, and we're currently investigating them," Bennett said.

Bennett said burglars entered the auto parts store around 1:30 a.m., an hour prior to when authorities suspect the break-in occurred at North Carrollton. Bennett said the intruders entered the building through the front.

According to Bennett, Stihl products such as trimmers, weed eaters, blowers and chainsaws were taken from the business.

Bennett said with the investigation, he urges people to be on the lookout for suspicious vehicles.

Bennett said if anyone has any information, please contact the Kilmichael Police Department at 262-4400.
