Funeral services for Elnora Mitchell Land of Winona were at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Rev. John L. Walker officiated the services.
Visitation was Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until service time, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Land, 89, died of heart failure at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson on Thursday, June 19.
Mrs. Land was born in Montgomery County on July 9, 1924, to Pleas and Nora Pyron Mitchell. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Winona, where she was active in the Loving Hands Ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert Lee Land; two sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Martha Land Autry of Clinton; her son, Elbert Land, Jr. of Winona; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Dub Wilson, Harold Land, Don Robertson, Kip Brown, Pitt Farrar, and Walter Oliver.
